This 1939 All-America Selections winner is still the most popular variety on the market. The vigorous, 4-ft. high plants produce an abundance of dark green, grooved pods without spines. Best picked when 2.5 to 3" long.
The most productive red okra variety. Not only used for it’s delicious red pods, but the plants are attractive too, with green leaves that contrast beautifully with the burgundy colored stems and midribs making it great for ornamental plantings as well. The pods are slender and elegant with 5 points. Tall, open plants. Flowers are also edible.
