Broad Windsor

This Broad Windsor Fava bean has a wonderful, unusual flavor, and is good for fresh cooking and drying. The plant is also an excellent nitrogen fixer, fixing 200 lbs. or nitrogen per acre, oftentimes grown for forage or soil improvement. Special Instructions: Sowing fava bean seeds densely removes the need to stake each plant as they will support each other. For nicely filled pods, be sure to pinch off the top as soon as the pods begin to set.  Treated seed.
