      Planting Guide

The most productive red okra variety. Not only used for it’s delicious red pods, but the plants are attractive too, with green leaves that contrast beautifully with the burgundy colored stems and midribs making it great for ornamental plantings as well. The pods are slender and elegant with 5 points. Tall, open plants. Flowers are also edible. Special Instructions: Pick young okra pods when they are 2-3” long and continue to harvest every other day to encourage continuous production. Cut pods from the stem just above the cap. They can be stored in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. Delicious steamed, in soups, and fried.
