It grows vigorously and does well planted in spring, and again late summer to early winter crop. Resistant to viruses, downy mildew, leaf spot, alternaria leaf spot, and bacterial soft rot. Used most in sukiyaki, yosenabe, ohitashi, stir-fries, pickling and salad.
