Small Sugar Pie

Heirloom. The long-time favorite and standard for pies. There isn’t a sweeter pumpkin, and they are a good keeper. An older, smaller variety of the Connecticut Field pumpkin. Small Sugar is even better for pies than its larger cousin Connecticut Field. A very prolific and handsome little pumpkin. 7-10” in diameter, skin is a deep orange-yellow. It is very fine-grained, smooth textured, sweet and sugary, and keeps well. 4-6 lb. pumpkins, slightly ribbed. Scrumptious wonder.
